Ready to pull the engine out of the keeper - a 1994 Dodge Colt. The engine transmission are a 4G15/F5M21. You might notice the partly finished flowbench behind the chest of drawers. Another iron in the fire, if you are interested --->>> Flow Bench Project.

Engine out easy.

After the engine was out Tyrus wanted to make sure there was a transmission problem so all the work wasn't wasted. The first clue was the silver oil that drained out. We put it the various gears and rotated the engine to see what happened. It worked in all the gears except fifth. We pulled the overdrive section and this is what we saw.

I made a template to drill holes for the 1993 hydraulic clutch master cylinder. This had to be done because the 1993 F5M22 transmission has a hydraulic clutch and will not work with the 1994 manual clutch - the transmission cases are different.

Here's the finished holes for the hydraulic clutch master cylinder.
